Cedarena’s 85^th Anniversary Skating Party scheduled for Tuesday February 7^th is CANCELLED, due to the lack of ice and the invasion of too much grass.

Penguin Update

Good news folks, (well sort of).

It seems someone who was keeping an eye out for Peter Penguin, has delivered a penguin to the rink. I was driving home on Monday afternoon, past the rink, when I saw a penguin standing just inside the gate. After making an emergency stop and backing up, sure enough, there’s a penguin waiting inside the gates, big, black penguin eyes staring up at me.

I called out “Peter!”, but this guy says “Peter? Who the hell is Peter? My name’s Paul”.

So we chat for a minute, and then I take him down to meet Pat, and go figure, they know each other. Pat says he’s Peter’s cousin.

And there they are, warming up to each other. (I hope not too much. Already been warm enough down at the rink this season) .

Pat seems rather smitten with Paul, so I guess she’s forgotten about ‘ol whatsizname.

I don’t know if his real name’s Paul or not, but I DO know it’s not Peter, ‘cuz Peter had that heart shaped tattoo on his chest, and this guy Paul is clean.

We welcome Paul to the Cedarena family, and thank the nice person who brought him to the rink.

Cedarena Still Closed

After another examination of the the ice, more deterioration has occurred. Therefore Cedarena will be CLOSED FOR ALL ACTIVITIES THIS WEEKEND and until further notice. Stay tuned to the website for further updates this coming week.

Please note, the 85th Anniversary Skating Party at Cedarena has been postponed until February 7th.

Peter Penguin abducted from Cedarena

Peter and Pat Penguin, greeters at Cedarena, have been welcoming skaters coming down the hill for the last several years. They stood outside the door, on either side of the ramp, and always had a friendly smile for our patrons.

It seems the occurance took place on Saturday, January 21st, between the hours of 7:30 pm and 10:00 pm.

Naturally Pat is very upset and is asking the abductors to return Peter as soon as possible. At this time, neither Pat nor Cedarena staff wish the police to be involved.

Peter is described as:

identical to Pat
22 inches tall
white and black plastic complexion
black eyes
red heart tattooed on chest
wearing only his birthday suite, no shoes

Anyone with information on Peter’s whereabouts should contact Cedarena.

We really want Peter back in time for Cedarena’s 85th Anniversary, so keep your eyes and ears open.
